Research Interests:

Her current research interests involve the controlled synthesis and surface modification of gold nanoparticles for biological and medical purposes- biosensing, diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The controlled coupling with various emitters or other nanoparticles in order to extend the applications field of the fabricated hybrid nanostructures/ nanoassemblies. VISIBILITY OF THE SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY 1 article in ISI (IF) journals; 5 international conferences; 1 oral presentation.

Synthesis of anisotropic gold nanoparticles-control over size and shape;

Design of plasmonic nanosensors

Spectroscopic (UV-Vis/NIR), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and zeta potential measurements;

Raman spectroscopy;

Steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy;

Optical microscopy.
